We found out about different tribes travelling from Europe to settle in England between 449 AD and 1066.
We came from 5 different tribes: the Angles from Denmark, the Saxons from Germany, the Frisians from Holland, the Jutes from Belgium and the Scots from Ireland.
We moved around the enormous map of Europe that our teachers had drawn on the playground.
It was a brilliant way to remember all the tribe names and countries of origin.
